After my disastrous attempt last year to complete a 365 project – taking a photo a day for a whole year, I decided that it would be a safer option to capture my son growing up throughout 2012. So far it has been going great!

Hopefully by the end of the year, I will be able to start putting together an album for him for when he grows up.

Back again with another styled wedding photography concept. This shoot features the actress Emma Jane Martin playing the much put upon Olive Rudge from the 1970s  ‘On the Buses’ series. Here EJ is modelling a glamourous red, white and blue Best of British look with a nod towards the Golden Jubilee and the London Olympics, as it is 2012!

The shoot could not be possible without the kind use of the Big Red [thank you John & Dawn] – a cosy pizza restaurant in Deptford, South London – that is an actual bus! Ideal for small and initimate wedding receptions, The Big Red can easily accommodate 50 seated on the bus and 120 for canapes and drinks in the wider outdoor space.

The fantastic 4 tier London themed wedding cake is by No Cakes R Better, and venue decoration and styling is provided by events planner Jacqueline Mars  - she also played the bus driver – what a good sport!

Oh yes, the fabulous Union Jack dress is by the House of Hannigan!

J and J will be getting married in the summer of 2013 back in the US. They are travelling around Europe, taking in the sights of London, Paris and Italy. Having seen my previous portrait/engagement shoot in the South Bank, they decided that they would love an engagement shoot to capture their time in London, and where better than where time began – in Greenwich!

The shoot started around the Old Royal Naval College and the Painted Hall which you will recognise from the last Johnny Depp Pirates of the Caribbean film, ending at the Queen’s House. Unfortunately you can’t take photos inside the Queen’s House but outside is just picturesque!

Today, my last remaining cat Angel passed away due to old age.

She had a cracking life of 17 years, surviving her brother by 4 years. She spent most of her life chasing cats and foxes and then scarpering if they ran back to chase her, running away from home, pretending she was deaf when I called her, as well as climbing up curtains and fighting her way out of the headlock her brother got her in.

Despite all this, she was scared of her own shadow!

Well it is a new year (2012 – year of the London Olympics! Yipee!)  – hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year!

It has been the tradition in past years to release a calendar for the year featuring some of photographs taken over the previous year. So once again, here is a free 2012 photography calendar you can download! This year, rather than featuring wedding photographs, the calendar features  some photos from the 2011 365 project by a London wedding photographer i.e. me!

The calendar also has an extra free day just for you – February 29th (only kidding!) and don’t forget there is no late May bank holiday this year as it moves to June for the Queen’s Jubilee!
